Contemplative Vocal Practice in Ericeira

Attention <–> Intention <–> Breathing <–> Sound <–> Silence

Our mind usually is restless and noisy, sometimes it makes so much noise that it is difficult to distinguish the dialogues that happen in it. Through this practice we seek to work the disordered mental movement towards the awareness and organization of this movement: “we combat”, in vocal meditation, the mental noise with conscious sound!

As with other yogic systems, you need to start from where you are, choose the right tools for balancing the trigunas (sattva-rajas-tamas), awaken prana and direct it through attention in one direction. .

And it is along this path that deep sound can be heard, manifested, vibrated; and eventually an internal environment is created that makes it possible to realize that the silence that was sought so much has always been there.

Participation is open to all and the contribution is from 10 to 15 Euros, according to your possibility.

Red Tent - A tradition practised by ancient cultures throughout history to empower the woman during the new moon phase when women and girls are most often in need of support, rest and reflection.

Joining forces in union to help each one of us gain more wisdom, knowledge and empowerment.

During this sacred space we will be following and honouring the needs of the group which will be a mixture of movement, dance, heart sharing, singing, healing, writing and creating together.

Hatha Yoga with Daniel

The Hatha Yoga Course aims to work on  the 8 limbs of Yoga – Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana andSamadhi – in a holistic way, bringing up the ancient traditions of Yoga. Once Yoga is the art and the science of living, we will open the doors to this huge universe to put it in our daily small activities or actions: take it as a life style. The deal is to incorporate a system of behaviors to develop our individual aspects. We start our discipline  with our physical body – through the Asanas – in order to have a healthy spine, muscles and joints – those massages work on our glandular and nervous systems weighting our body in another direction of hormones and psychological disorders; with the breathing techniques of Pranayama we will feel a direct effect on our brain and emotions freeing our mental and creativity energies in a path to build self-confidence, self-control, and self-stim; when we relax e we let the consciousness of our body go – throughPratyahara – we put our daily stress down and get higher levels of consciousness, concentration, and attention, meeting Dharana; then, with our sustained consciousness – Dhyana – becomes an important element to withdrawn the patterns of our mind and channel our mental creativity energy. Through the constancy of the practice we can experience Samadhi, the super consciousness state.

Nowadays, Yoga has being shown as a high beneficial practice to our health and is formed – at least in Western – by the Asanas’ practice. In this way, Yama, Niyama, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi are kept in a secondary sphere, if they are. Then, this course is about to introduce people to this vast universe of Yoga – beyond the Asanas – in order to let them immerge in the living of this practice.

We will have weekly meeting of one hour and a half for our presential practice with the compromise of a small dedication in our days. This dedication is about simple practices and some reading recommendation to get deeper in Yoga: from 5-10 minutes up to 60 minutes daily depending on everyone´s availability to that. Here we will be in touch with the dead language of the borning region of Yoga: the Sanskrit.

This course is dedicated to those who have never being in a Yoga mat before, those who already practice, and those that feel the lack of a higher deep study in the 8 limbs of Yoga.

 This course is about to play Yoga in a very relaxed environment. It is about to bring the ancient tradition of this art and science of living to kids in order to make them happy and develop the instruments so they can keep the happiness in their lives.

            Yoga for kids is a very important subject once their going through growth. In this phase the body can experience lots of imbalances and Yoga is there to minimize all of those uncomfortable feelings: from imbalances between mental and vital fields – by the release of hormones in their blood –, or between thyroid and adrenals glands, to disruptive behaviors like anger and violence. The practice of Yoga has only benefits to deliver like relaxing the emotions, increasing abilities to concentrate and remember, and strengthening the lungs with breathing techniques.

            The classes will be run in playful environment with mantrasasanas, pranayamas(breathing techniques), and relaxation in one hour of delightful happiness.

            This course is adequate to kids from 4 to 12 years old.

We will be developing many of your hidden qualities together: listening, movement awareness, joint amplitude, flexibility in all parts of the body, releasing internal spaces and finding new ways to dance, to shake, to stretch and have fun, achieving greater well-being to face your day to day.

This class is a free creation of Veridiana Bressane, body artist and movement researcher. It brings a mix of techniques from her knowledge in Contemporary Dance, Contact and Improvisation, Modern Dance, Cunningham Technique, Street Dance, Brazilian Rhythms, combined with Functional Training Exercises, Pilates, Yoga, Bioenergetics, Marina Abramovic, Meditation and others.

We start our discipline  with our physical body – through the Asanas – in order to have a healthy spine, muscles and joints – those massages work on our glandular and nervous systems weighting our body in another direction of hormones and psychological disorders; with the breathing techniques of Pranayama we will feel a direct effect on our brain and emotions freeing our mental and creativity energies in a path to build self-confidence, self-control, and self-stim; when we relax e we let the consciousness of our body go – throughPratyahara – we put our daily stress down and get higher levels of consciousness, concentration, and attention, meeting Dharana; then, with our sustained consciousness – Dhyana – becomes an important element to withdrawn the patterns of our mind and channel our mental creativity energy. Through the constancy of the practice we can experience Samadhi, the super consciousness state.

Nowadays, Yoga has being shown as a high beneficial practice to our health and is formed – at least in Western – by the Asanas’ practice. In this way, Yama, Niyama, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi are kept in a secondary sphere, if they are. Then, this course is about to introduce people to this vast universe of Yoga – beyond the Asanas – in order to let them immerge in the living of this practice.

We will have weekly meeting of one hour and a half for our presential practice with the compromise of a small dedication in our days. This dedication is about simple practices and some reading recommendation to get deeper in Yoga: from 5-10 minutes up to 60 minutes daily depending on everyone´s availability to that. Here we will be in touch with the dead language of the borning region of Yoga: the Sanskrit.

This course is dedicated to those who have never being in a Yoga mat before, those who already practice, and those that feel the lack of a higher deep study in the 8 limbs of Yoga.

This class is a free creation of Veridiana Bressane, body artist and movement researcher. Workshop com abordagem do método de educação somático Body Mind Movement, conduzido por Mariana Camarote (Brazil).

Nesse workshop de 4 horas, a atenção se volta ao movimento e a natureza mutável e restauradora dos fluidos internos. Estudaremos alguns dos fluídos celulares e também o sangue (venosos e arterial), compreendendo como funcionam e ao mesmo tempo como nos levam a mover nosso corpo.

Ao explorar a sua relação pessoal com estes fluidos, você aprende a receber o suporte de suas diferentes águas para se expressar, colocar em movimento temas que precisam de maior pulsação, dissolver o que está enrigecido e se mover sem esforço.

Entendendo que da mesma maneira que temos um só fluido, que muda de estados e propriedades em nosso corpo, nossa emoções também podem ser vividas com um grande mar a ser navegado e apreciado em suas diferentes intensidades.

O QUE É O BMM?

Attention <–> Intention <–> Breathing <–> Sound <–> Silence

Our mind usually is restless and noisy, sometimes it makes so much noise that it is difficult to distinguish the dialogues that happen in it. Through this practice we seek to work the disordered mental movement towards the awareness and organization of this movement: “we combat”, in vocal meditation, the mental noise with conscious sound!

As with other yogic systems, you need to start from where you are, choose the right tools for balancing the trigunas (sattva-rajas-tamas), awaken prana and direct it through attention in one direction. .

And it is along this path that deep sound can be heard, manifested, vibrated; and eventually an internal environment is created that makes it possible to realize that the silence that was sought so much has always been there.

Participation is open to all and the contribution is from 10 to 15 Euros, according to your possibility.
